Food photography ties in so well with my work as a specialist interior photographer. I was constantly being asked by the owners of the hotels, kitchens and restaurants that I was photographing if I could offer this service. Its essential for chefs and food producers to be able to showcase their products properly and while many businesses use stock photographs, good images of your food are so much more personal. The food you produce is unique to your business and high quality images will reflect your values and give your guests a direct insight into the kind of quality they can expect from you and this undoubtedly leads to more sales.
Good food photography looks so easy but the reality is that it requires a special set of skills as well as a collection of specialist equipment and its an area in which I particularly enjoy working.
